DESCRIPTION:  After providing several months of significant technical support training to Oneida County Hospital, the hospital management decided to move their entire mission-critical ISP service from Albion Telephone Company (ATC) to Dev 2 Dev Portal LLC's MaladNet Internet Services in March 2003. In so doing, Dev 2 Dev Portal LLC helped provide and train Oneida County Hospital staff in setting up and training their technical staff to use the new technologies, domains, and websites. Owned by the people of Oneida County, Oneida County Hospital and Long Term Care Facility provides emergency, inpatient, outpatient, acute and long-term care since 1925

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provided mission-critical broadband wireless services to help improve implementation of their imaging systems link with other hospitals and facilities. Helped as consultant in conjunction with their systems and network administrators to rectify internal LAN/WAN issues beyond the scope of the hospital’s administrator skills. Performed early HIPAA & other NIST compliance audits and compliance improvements.

TECHNOLOGIES USED: Cisco, ADSL - Albion Telephone Company (ATC), SNMP, Etherape, tcpdump, nmap. Apache, SSL, MRTG, SNMP, SMTP, POP3, Qmail, Tripwire, iptables, pf, etherreal, various other IDS technologies (not disclosed), PPTP and IPSec VPNs, PostNuke, PHPNuke, Zope, Jserv, Tomcat. RADIUS, LEAP, 802.1x, MAC and IP access control. Servers: Linux Redhat, Debian Linux, OpenBSD, Trusted Solaris 6 & 7. Supported user platforms: Windows 3.x/9x/Me/NT/w2k/XP, Mac OS 8x/9x/Xx, Linux (several distros). 802.11b & g and 802.11a 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz wireless. 3Com, Intel, D-link, Hyperlink, Fab-corp, Linksys, and many other wireless companies' technologies for clients, bridges, and Aps. Amplifiers, high gain antennae (sector, omni, pad, and parabolic), LMR 400 and 240 custom coax and fittings.
